Glass Drums is a sound library made using glass in all its shapes:
Broken glass, knocked glass, blown glass, resonating glass… Yeah! GLASS!
Kicks, snares, hi-hats and lots of percussion ready to impact your track.
Created in collaboration with Francesco Pellegrin (LMND), this collection contains 295 one shots and 199 loops ready to break the house windows.
Francesco’s approach to foley recording is unique and his IG videos are always a pleasure to look at. It doesn’t matter if it’s a coffee machine, a tennis ball, a water bottle or a lamp bulb… Everything around him is potentially a musical instrument.
It was just a matter of time we ended up making a sound pack together!
More than 50 pieces of glass objects (bottles, pots, lens, glasses…) where broken and sampled.
The recordings were then reprocessed to get a final sound palette as wide and inspiring as possible.
In his own words:
“I used condenser microphones as well as handmade contact mics in order to get all the nuances and tones possible.
I chose glass as the center piece because it gives an instant movement to tracks. It sounds classy but also raw.“
